Navigating between Internationalisation and Development Cooperation in Higher Education
This paper gives an overview of how programmes for international collaboration with higher education institutions in developing countries have evolved over the years. It analyses the similarities and differences of the programmes on the basis of their objectives and funding arrangements. It also looks at the dichotomy between the aims and funding arrangements of internationalisation and development cooperation in higher education. The implications of this dichotomy for universities are discussed.
