Mundus Musicalis
A Musical Contribution to the International Cooperation in Higher Education and the Global Dimension of the Bologna Process
This article describes the ERASMUS MUNDUS project ‘Mundus Musicalis’, which addressed international cooperation in higher music education with a global consortium of 10 partners. The article explains the rationale of the project and its outcomes, describes the benefits, obstacles and tools related to international cooperation and mobility in music identified by the project, and presents a set of final observations and recommendations. The project as a whole can be seen as an example of how a specific academic discipline can contribute to the development of international cooperation in higher education and the global dimension of the Bologna process.
