Building an international strategy
This article aims to provide practical recommendations to help a committed institution build a realistic international strategy tailored to its own profile, context, priorities and constraints. It provides a checklist of internationalisation elements that can be used according to the institution’s profile. It emphasises that an international strategy should be embedded in the general strategic plan of the institution and should be built through a participative process in order to ensure acceptability and success. It also discusses the necessity of efficient communication, follow up and reporting at internal and external levels.
