All That Glitters Is Not Gold
Examining Challenges of Internationalized Digital Education
The present article examines current literature by comparing, synthesizing, and problematizing different sources on the digital internationalization of education. Based on the textual source research, the existing literature reports on the digital internationalization of education are primarily positive, failing to discuss the drawbacks of this mode of learning and teaching in terms of face-to-face interaction benefits and collaboration, especially for English language learners. Therefore, the article calls for a deeper examination of the digital internationalization of education and its opportunities for learning and engagement of the diverse student population.
