The Hybridisation of International Higher Education in Ukraine
Reconciling Competing Institutional Logics
This article delves into the institutional behaviour of three Ukrainian National Research Universities to explore manifestations of hybridity from the perspective of academic internationalisation. The inquiry attempts to shift focus onto non-linear accounts of internationalisation by unpacking the complex, multidimensional, and often contradictory ways in which competing institutional logics manifest across different institutional settings. It also examines the interplay and inherent tensions between European and post-socialist knowledge policies in an attempt to unpack international higher education discourses where East meets West.
