Forty Years and Counting

Just like any relationship, partnerships between two universities must change and grow over time in order to continue. The partnership changes for many reasons, but the fact that it has been sustained shows the value that each university places on that relationship. This article presents the changing partnership between Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok, Thailand, and Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, USA. This article describes the collaboration, communication, benefits and challenges of sustaining a long-term partnership from its beginning when Illinois State University provided a doctoral programme to students at Srinakharinwirot University to the current collaborations with scholars and students.
